Internal Auditor wanted

On behalf of a client we are seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor who will be working on the company’s financial and operational audits and will report to the Reporting Committee.  Such person will ensure that procedures, policies, legislations and regulations are correctly followed and complied with.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Develop an audit plan for all the company’s activities and assess the effectiveness of internal controls across a range of financial and operational processes
• Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the company’s objectives and goals to be met
• Plan and carry out individual engagements, including any follow up required
• Ensure completion of engagements to provide independent, objective assurance
• Effectively communicates control weaknesses to the committee, both verbally and in writing

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualifications in accounting and finance with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in such areas (preference will be given to those having experience in casino internal audit)
• Be proactive and able to work without supervision
• Be organised, focused and detail oriented
• Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
• Professionally sceptical
• Good report writing skills

The package:

• The salary is dependent on experience to the role
• There will be an initial assistance for flight and temporary accommodation
